My Wren revenue doesn’t match WooCommerce

Wren counts orders with status completed or processing — the same way WooCommerce’s revenue report counts them. If you see a difference:

  1. Check the date range — Wren shows the last 7d/30d rolling, WooCommerce reports might be fixed date ranges
  2. Check your WooCommerce Admin › WooCommerce › Reports and make sure you’re comparing the same statuses
  3. Refunded orders: Wren tracks refunds separately; WooCommerce net revenue subtracts them

“Sync failed” or no insights generated

  1. Check your WooCommerce API credentials (Settings › Store Connections)
  2. Regenerate your Consumer Key/Secret in WooCommerce and update them in Wren
  3. Check that your WooCommerce REST API is accessible — try visiting https://yourstore.com/wp-json/wc/v3/orders in a private browser and see if you get an auth prompt (not a 404)
  4. If you just connected, wait for the next scheduled sync (8am UTC) or click Sync Now

No GA4 data showing

  1. Verify the service account email is added to your GA4 property with Viewer role
  2. Confirm the Google Analytics Data API is enabled in your Google Cloud project
  3. Check that your GA4 Property ID is just the number (e.g. 380515265), not properties/380515265
  4. Make sure your GA4 property has actually received data recently — visit GA4 › Reports › Real-time to verify

Search Console returns 403

  1. The service account needs Full access in Search Console (not just “Associate”)
  2. If your property is a Domain property (most are), your Site URL in Wren should be sc-domain:yourdomain.com not https://yourdomain.com/
  3. Make sure the Google Search Console API is enabled in Google Cloud

Channel shows as “Unknown” for many orders

This means GA4 didn’t record a purchase event for those orders. Common causes:

  1. GA4 Ecommerce tracking wasn’t installed when those orders came in — future orders should attribute correctly
  2. Order placed via phone/manual entry (never had a web session)
  3. Customer had tracking blocked (privacy extensions, ad blockers)
  4. transaction_id mismatch — check your ecommerce plugin

Customer segments are all zero

Wren needs at least 2 orders per customer (by email) to compute segments. If you have a lot of guest checkouts with different emails, or all orders are new customers, you’ll see low segment counts. As more returning customer data builds up, segments populate.
